More about Ground Source heating...

Well, we told you before all about how the pipes under the park keep the school warm with underfloor heating...this where all the pipes come together. One big bunch of pipes bring the heat from the park to the school and the others take the cold back to the park to be warmed up again! Now, how cool is that!!! This funny thing is a 'manifold' it is where all the little pipes come together and become one big pipe that then goes on to take the heat into the plant room (there isn't room in there for all the little pipes). It's a very clever thing and there is one for the hot pipes coming in and one for the cold pipes going out to the park. The pipes should all be completed soon so the heating will be turned on to test it out...we're keeping our paws crossed that it works!
