Well we've been a bit busy and when we were offered tha chance of a holiday we thought that would be nice. Cath said we could go with her to Centre Parcs at Sherwood Forest, so off we went for a few days.
We had swans outside our bedroom window and they were so friendly you could feed them if you were gentle and careful they didn't bite your fingers!.

The grey swan in the photo above is a young swan nearly a year old and is called a cygnet.
This was a bit close for comfort!

We went out onto the lake in a canoe. Cath and her sister Gail rowed us right out into the lake and round the edge and we saw lots of swans and some baby moorhens..
We climbed a tree for a better look out over the lake.

We went along to the badminton tournament that Geoff played in. We cheered lots and Geoff won first place! He got a medal.
We also had a try at hitting some golf balls on the golf driving range.
We met up with a big friend of ours.

We wanted to go and do some bird watching so we went along to the bird hide, here we are watching the bird feeding area.
..
The hide is a little shed with windows to watch the birds, squirrels, rabbits and other things. Sometimes there are deer and foxes.
.
We were unlucky to miss seeing a woodpecker...

.
but we did get to see a swan on a nest hatching the eggs.
