OK We're a bit behind but this is what things were like in December...
PROGRESS... Well this all looks a bit different from the time we sat up in the crane. Lots more of the steel frame has been put up and you can really see the shape and layout of the building now. The hall/gym is to the left-hand side and the lift shaft is the brown thing that sticks up through the floors. It won't be long now before we start to see the floors being put in and then it will be easier to understand where everything goes!

These are the guys (Gavin, Kyle and David), who are working very hard to build all the walls, lots of the blocks and bricks have to be cut to fit, that's very dusty and noisy.
Sometimes you have to look at the drawings to see how it all fits together...

OUR VISIT TO RATIONEL-DENMARK
October 2006

Well we finally got our first foreign mission!!!

We went with Paul from Rationel to Denmark in Scandinavia to visit the factory that will be making our windows and doors, and YES we got to fly in an aeroplane, WOW.

There's a lot to learn in this business...we went to see the factory where our windows will be made. This lady is checking the wood that the window is going to be made of.

This is a window being put together.

Below are the windows before they get finsihed with some paint or stain, ours will be a brown stain.

These windows are finished and ready to be sent to their building site.

BLOGGING

We have just been catching up on our visitor figures and checking our e-mail. Thanks again to Molly and Ella who seem to be our only e-mail friends!

We are so sorry that we haven't blogged much over the last couple of months. We are so surprised to see that many of our regular friends are still visiting even thought there hasn't been anything new to see for a while.

We can keep track of visitors to our site and were pleased to see someone in Sheffield has visited us 83 times! WOW that's a lot. Also we've had visits from two architect's offices, Race Cottam and Bond Bryan both from Sheffield as well as someone at Hallam University and another at Sheffield University. We must be saying something interesting. We have a regular visitor from Birmingham (51 visits) and just after Christmas someone from the Ukraine came and looked at our BLOG.

All this makes us very happy as we just want folks to learn about the new Sharrow School and what it is doing because we think all children should have the chance to have a special place to learn.

We'd better get on and catch up with our BLOGGING.
See you all soon
Love
